This is a goody. this is good for color learning and pretend food play. Under each ice cream scoop is the color in bold black lettering. The quality is amazing, the icecream looks so realistic. the scoops have a nice weight and texture to it and it fits snuggly on the cone. And you get 2 cones. Its also great for stacking…. very cool. My kids love it !

We needed some ice cream for the play food repertoire and looked at a number of different implementations — wood a la Melissa and Doug, Fleece, cheesy plastic, and these sturdy yet mildly flexible rubber ones. Ultimately I left it up to my 3 year old daughter who sat and deliberated over them on the store floor (“I can only get one, right?).
Initially I leaned toward the wooden ice cream since I’m a fan of wood toys. But this was a good choice — the ice cream looks realistic, has a pleasing texture, is nicely weighted, super durable (tossed all around), and richly colored (more so than the alternatives).
After the purchase we sat down in a pizza shop and took out the ice cream. Other small children there were standing on their seats vying for a look so we had a communal ice cream “tasting”.
Note that the balls of ice cream are hollow — like a shell — so that they can be stacked in a realistic way.

This is an excellent toy. All parts are made of a heavy-duty soft rubber. Vibrant colors. Very realistic looking. Same can be said of the shape sorting cupcake sister product made by the same company. My two year old daughter and 4 y.o. son both love playing with this in their pretend kitchen.

My husband and I bought this for our niece and nephew who are age 2 yrs 8 months and 1 year four months. They love to play with this together. The older one will place the ice cream caps in a row for the younger one to stack. Then he claps his hands and says, “Again!” She un-stacks them and puts them in a row. They played this over and over together. My sister (their mother) tells me it is a great toy.

This toy was at my daughter’s language school when we registered she loved it. Since she rec’vd hers at home she plays with it alot. The only thing I would mention is that sometimes the cone colors don’t stack well. It is a good learning tool for her.
